Some of you might remember all the meetings and discussions leading up to the finalised HopCroft Neighbourhood Plan.
In May 2022 a public referendum formally approved the Crofton Park and Honor Oak Park Neighbourhood Plan, information at
https://lewisham.gov.uk/myservices/plann...m-and-area It’s my understanding that after the vote a formal committee was never set up which meant that the next steps for the plan (monitoring performance, reviewing the plan, community involvement) have not happened and the plan, having been written around 5 years ago, is in need of updating. Councillor Webley-Brown is the acting chair and I am told is in discussions with the council to wind up the Forum.
Personally I think the Forum can benefit the residents and businesses in the area and am disappointed that the Councillor is happy to see it lapse without asking whether there are people in the area who could participate in taking the work of the Forum forwards. At least 21 people, who live, work, or are elected members of the area, are needed for the Forum to look for redesignation and take the Forum forwards.
