I can't attend the meeting but have just emailed the scheme to arrange to have an advisor visit me at home. I know of some energy saving measures my home definitely needs (primarily better loft insulation) but would be interested to hear what other measures I could take.

Details here on how to contact the organisers:

Thank you very much for placing this post Michael.
Although I am really looking forward to welcoming keen energy savers to this event, in order to avoid disappointment or misunderstanding, can I please remind readers that this energy saver takeup is for Perry Vale residents only.

I've just had the energy advisor come round to my house. He was very knowledgeable and pleasant. It was good to hear that I am mostly doing all the right things, but there were some areas for improvement. He fitted an electricity monitor so I can go around waving it at my husband and children who leave EVERYTHING on all the time. He left me with a energy saver socket for the TV (turns everything off standby) and some low energy lightbulb. He left me some door brushes which he would have fitted for me but I am happy to do myself. He could have fitted some panels behind my rads on external walls and fitted a tap aerator in the kitchen, had I not done these already. Also offered a water-saving shower head but I didn't need that either. All was free, no obligation.

The people who do loft insulation on behalf of the council will come round and see if I qualify for a free top-up on my loft insulation, and if not, will quote for doing the job.

I can really recommend that everyone take advantage of this scheme. There really are no strings attached.

I am very pleased that you took up the advisor option and you had a positive experience with energy saving advice. Thank you for the feedback.

But why just for Perry Vale residents?

Funding of these schemes is on a ward-by-ward basis. There are similar schemes scattered all over London, funded by the Mayor's Office. I have no idea how Perry Vale got selected, though.
