Ah, but Joffe, most people pick up their pizzas at night on the way home from work when all the other shops are closed, so that won't help in terms of footfall supporting other retailers...

Both are great areas. However, I think HOP wins for bringing up kids and nights out. There are open spaces - one tree hill, the rec, peckham rye etc... great schools - dalmain, stillness, fairlawn......

Rumours are that there was a second shooting in Hop by the deli. Anyone know any more? There were police cars at the rec as well this morning. Really horrible.

According to the East Dulwich Forum there has been a shooting outside the cemetery on forest hill road. Huge traffic problems. Please avoid the area. Very sad.

Apparently the guy who owns the boarded up shop has bought the old honor oak tandoori as well, hence the sold sign. Not sure what his plans are other than to protect his premises with the boards!
