Oyster Card type gates. I've just been from Waterloo to Havant with SW Trains. All stations have Oyster style gates, so there is no excuse for Southern not to have installed them already.

Surely the new high speed service from Ashford will be using the Eurostar track into St Pancras? I fail to see how this will affect services to London Bridge and Charing Cross

The article re Boris meeting worried travellers/passengers is only about the loop line from London Bridge to Victoria, not about Southern cutting our services before the arrival of ELLX.

Howden, why not get on an Overground train (8 tph from HOP) and get out and walk from one of the Eastern or Northern City stations. They are only crowded as far as Canada Water.
