Am I the only one who is annoyed at the removal of the train timetable from the main wall of the station at Forest Hill? When I questioned the sense of this at the ticket office, I was told that it had be removed from platform 1 'for other stuff'.
Part of this 'other stuff' is a poster telling us that only a few of the Southern Network stations have any disabled facilitieis. Well that's news! The fact that most disabled people would check ahead of travelling for assistance at stations and that disabled people also need to see a timetable appears to have been completely lost on the management at Forest Hill. Is this political correctness gone bonkers? If memory serves me correctly I also seem to remember a warning poster - slippery platform in the winter - or something similar stating the **** obvious.
Who is to blame for this stupidity? or is it just a cunning plan to make us believe the trains are running on time by removing the schedule
