Just wanted to put this thought out there, and get some sensible replies about it.
Anyone who frequents the top of Church Rise jctn of South Road might notice something strange. The road is bleeding, bleeding water. From the joins of each strip of tarmac, from around the island, and from by the kerbs, on a very dry day it is easy to see water coming from these cracks, making the road wet. Recently mud and clay has also started to seep out, the the road surface has started to sink in weak spots.

Its been reported to LBB and Thames Water, but no one has looked at it, let alone sorted the hole in the road the small collapse has caused.

Makes me wonder how far that water is going, and if its going to start to undermine the houses near by also.

Snazy that is very strange as something similar happened just off Dartmouth Rd today. I think It's Clyde Terrace. The end of the small Road that runs between Fortune Inn Chinese and Giovanni hairdressers. Very hot bubbling water was sprouting from cracks in the Road. The fire services came and blocked the area until an electricity company arrived. All shops/properties from Fortune Inn to Sure To Move had no electricity from around 6pm onwards tonight. I did ask how long the electrics would be off for and was told at least 2 hours. I came home then so I'm not sure what has happened since.

Thames Water have tweeted to say they will be checking it out. Thumbup

Some pics of what I was talking about.
I know there is meant to be an underground spring around there, but seems weird that its leaking from the highest point in the area.

Did you tweet them about London Road/ Dartmouth Road junction which is determined to be a water feature for the town centre.

thanks Snazy. Good to know somebody is reporting all the leaks. My attention was on the piles of litter collecting beside the underpass (now a bit tidier).

Thanks for posting about this (I would private message you to avoid spam but I don't know how to enable them!) and for the general public service of reporting the issue. We're currently trying to buy one of the houses very near this junction, so would be interested to know whether you hear any more from Thames Water - and anything you know about underground springs in the area! I can see the solicitor search fees mounting...
