The documents are now on Lewisham's planning website.

As Snazy has already said, change of use from a furniture shop to coffee and sandwich bar.

No change to shopfront apart from repainting and changing the fixed toplight above the door to an opening one. Fascia name to be changed to 'Groundhog Coffee' with the strapline 'Good coffee again and again'. Fascia won't be illuminated. Shopfront colour to be deep purple. Proposed opening hours 6.30am-6pm Mon-Fri; 9am-6pm Sat & Sun.

Filling in a rear window and door to create a disabled WC. 3 extra vents to be built into the rear extension (2 wall mounted and one on the roof).

Interior plan idicates 5 tables (4 x 4 seats and 1 x 2 seats) and a couple of sofas.

Sounds interesting, curious to see if people moving into FHC will have a positive impact on the local trade for Perry Vale.

Like any new business, I wish them all the best, but cant help but question how much trade it will actually see.

I think this is probably a good site for a nice coffee shop (although the new retail unit in Forest Hill Central would be better). It is much more sensible to have a new coffee shop here than two opposite each other at the end of London Road.
