Residents of Forest Hill Ward are cordially invited to the third Forest Hill Ward Meeting hosted by the ward councillors on Monday 24th September 2007, at 7.30pm, Christian Fellowship Centre on Honor Oak Road.

The Meeting is part of a regular series open meetings hosted by the ward councillors where issues of interest to local residents can be discussed.

On the agenda for this meeting are planning & development and how to spend this years' Localities Fund monies, but any issue can be brought up for discussion and we will try and help where we can.

If you'll be unable to attend the meeting, but would like to make a contribution on these or other issues, please feel free to email me at cllr_alex.feakes@lewisham.gov.uk, remembering to include your postcode.

We look forward to seeing you there.

Alex, it would be good to be able to vary the day of this forum from time to time to widen attendance. Personally I cannot make Mondays due to other commitments and I believe others are in the same boat. It might also be preferable to have one on a Saturday morning so that more people can attend as many people are still commuting from work in central London and elsewhere at 7.30pm.

Given the discussion on the other thread, I think this meeting should address specifically the economic position of the town centre and issues affecting retail and other local businesses.

A quick reminder about this event tomorrow:

The third Forest Hill ward town meeting will be held at the Christian
Fellowship Centre on Honor Oak Road (opposite Fairlawn school) on Monday 24th
September at 7.30pm. On the agenda will be planning and development issues ?
we will be joined by Phil Ashford from the planning department to lead our
discussion ? and also this year's Localities Fund, amongst other things.

Roz - thanks for bringing up the issue of days and times. Our experience of trying to organise meetings on weekday evenings suggests that Mondays tend to have the fewest diary clashes. However, I like your suggestion of a Saturday morning and it's worth considering.

Do other posters here have views on dates and times for public meetings, and whether Saturday mornings would work for them?
