Some of you may be aware, that Thameslink Railway are in the middle of the biggest timetable consultation in a generation and want our thoughts on their proposals.
This is our chance to get four trains an hour as a minimum standard on the Catford Loop route that runs from Sevenoaks through Catford, Crofton Park and Peckham Rye to Blackfriars.
Thameslink have put together their proposals for the service, but we dont think its enough to meet current and future demand.
All you need to do to respond is go to our website and add your name and email to sign up for a better service:

It takes less than two minutes, and your action will help to ensure we secure vital services to increase the capacity on this already over crowded route.
While this may not directly affect you if you don’t use this route, by supporting the plans for more services it will help to spread passenger numbers between the line from Forrest Hill – London Bridge and the Catford Loop line to Blackfriars.
Thanks in advance!

That may be what you want but the OP thinks that new services from Catford will reduce demand on FH - London Bridge. Not good for Forest Hill/Honor Oak and a campaign tactic that uses sacrificing our line to boost theirs.
There is limited capacity and we're in competition. At the moment we're getting overlooked and a proposed inferior service. Forest Hill is much the busier station and the Forest Hill/Sydenham corridor much the busier route. The priority for Southern are long distance commuters. They spend more.

The only reason Southern trains from FH/HOP are proposed to be cut to London Bridge during the morning peak is so London Overground can add another two trains per hour to Dalston Junction from Crystal Palace, where the demand is strongest.
The current signalling can't handle the proposed extra Overground trains without cutting Southern services.
The Catford loop issues aren't directly connected to the problems affecting Forest Hill. They really need 4 trains per hour as the peak services especially are at crush load and will be integrated into the Thameslink core, where as our trains aren't.

We know for a fact that it will reduce demand on your services.
Currently there are just two trains an hour on the Catford Loop - the same as London to Edinburgh or Paris.
From our research, we know that many users simply cant get on the services at Crofton Park because they are simply too over crowded and so people walk to Honor Oak Park or Brockley to use those services instead where there are 12 trains an hour including the London Overground.
We absolutely believe in protecting your services too - and we are in competition as we are on completely different routes as we are served by different operators.
