The Friends of Blythe hill Fields are continuing the tree planting programme on the park and we have just a few trees left seeking local adopters. If you'd like to adopt a tree and call it your own, please contact peopleandwildlife@blythehillfields.org.uk, or call Zaria on 07946271511.
Adopting a tree means that you can plant your own tree on Saturday March 12th, with the support of the Friends, the council and Glendale, the park management. Then you'll water your young tree throughout two subsequent summers. Glendale support us to water our trees on Saturday mornings and we all do it together as a group.
You'll be able to enjoy your tree as it flourishes, have picnics underneath it and, as it grows taller, be able to say 'I planted that'. Great activity for kids, although the planting itself is hard work and need adults (preferably men, actually) to do it.
Act now if you'd like a tree! Last trees available!
