Slightly more positive feedback from another commuter who stopped to talk to the staff at London Bridge this morning:

Quote:
Had a long chat with Southern this morning. I was given no commitment but, if I understood correctly we can expect the West Croydon services to be reinstated but Victoria services would become curtailed at Crystal Palace. Likely implementation is around the end of the month. The London Bridge to London Victoria services are the single biggest risk on all of Southern apparently.

It is just possible that this commuter got to speak to a member of staff who knows what he's talking about, either that or a bigger liar than the rest of them.

I think it was really important for so many people to stop and speak to Southern today. I haven't seen a meet the manager session so busy before. We need to keep up the pressure to restore our services to every 15 minutes rather than every 30 minutes.

Beyond that I believe that every regular commuter on our line should be entitled to compensation for the period where there has been such major unplanned disruption. It is the only way that rail planners will understand the importance of designing systems that work and have a little bit of resilience.
