Hello,
I have been informed that residents rightfully so have expressed their frustration with attending Coffee with a Cop at FOREST HILL POOLS for the police to not attend.
I can only apologise for this as both myself and Joanna were abstracted to a murder crime scene outside of the ward, as you can imagine this was unplanned and unexpected.
In order to avoid wasted journey’s in the future or last minute changes of plans FOREST HILL SNT are going to be trialling a new ways to communicate with you as a resident within the ward.
Local officers including myself and Joanna will visit every address within the ward over the next few weeks to speak to you about our new plans to maintain contact and keep you up to date with crime in your area or last minute changes of plans to prearranged events.
The intention is to provide a text messaging service whereby your local team will send text messages notifying you with local crimes that have taken place, when they happen, in your specific area so you are aware and also to provide you with crime prevention advice.
Your mobile number will not be shared with any other person’s or used for any other reason other than to provide you with local updates and it will be stored locally on a secure database for this specific reason. If you do not wish to provide a contact number, that is completely fine and please do not feel obliged to do so.
The information we will ask for this new notifying system is the following –
· Name
· Address
· Phone number
· Email address
· Any information you wish to inform us on regarding issues in the ward
It greatly helps us if these details are provided via email or in person when we visit
Any little pieces of information about ASB or CRIME on the ward are also appreciated, as you know there is a lot of homes within FOREST HILL so please be patient.
Kind regards
FOREST HILL SNT
