Re Samuelson's post -

I understood that the police had recovered many stolen cars and dealt with numerous crimes and their perpetrators.

It's not the police officer's fault that funding cuts and ineffective legislation have left them in an almost impossible situation.

Most policemen & women are trying extremely hard to make a fist of it and I appreciate their efforts.

But, yes, as with the crazed zombie knife attack at school home time on a local train yesterday, I totally agree that things have become desperately lawless - and we can only hope that those in Westminster and County Hall will do the right things to get a grip!
