Thread: Trains to/from Forest Hill and Honor Oak Park Post: RE: Trains to/from Forest Hill and Honor Oak
yes, i was pleasantly surprised to find that trains run to Charing Cross directly. I thought maybe the train company has changed their mind but it was only due to some work on the line. |

I hate this crossing. I am a cyclist and have to turn right outside the WH Smith into London Road and I always dread it. If I could avoid it I could but there is no better way. When I was in Berlin i ... |

Thread: Forest Hill Library Post: RE: Forest Hill Library
My husband went to the library today and there were no newspapers - apparently they are short-staffed.
So books in short supply and now no newspapers. Have to go somewhare else in future. |

Try the wholemeal with the seeds in it. I found the taste very good. |

Thread: New Bakery Post: RE: New Bakery
Went to the new bakery first time and bread was very good. Fresh and nicely sliced for you, it even had sunflower seeds in it, although plain ones were also available. Won't need to bake my own now. |

Mind you, the shop is under different management now so I am not sure if they are equally reliable. |

We need a bakery here, like the one in Sydenham "Cake Shop" or Nunhead. Good selection of cakes, bread to buy and a table or two to sit and have a coffee would be great. |

People do not usually walk, unless they have small children and take them for a walk. otherwise, they just jump in the car and drive somewhere where the shops (or supermarkets are) I guess. |

It would be good to have a bakery here. Like that shop in Sydenham called Cake Store. |
