Hopefully a lift is coming this or next year....for now there is a lift at Forest Hill if you really need it which may not be that much further of a walk. Overground trains generally very reliable...

I agree with tinyem - bubbles is nearly always open. I make a point of shopping there as I like the staff. If they have what I want I'll go there, if not will be Sainsburys.
