There have been previous threads about this, but it would be great to get some fresh information - are we still going to get lifts (or any form of ramps) at HOP station?

I know the Access for All stations lists HOP as having "estimated completion in 2013" (http://assets.dft.gov.uk/publications/ac..._Wales.pdf) but there's no signs in the station that any construction is planned! Discussion was also raised in the Brockley Central blog in June (http://brockleycentral.blogspot.co.uk/20...ccess.html), but haven't heard anything about HOP.

Anyone with any thoughts or insight?
I asked one of the station staff recently if HOP is getting a lift and he said that they (staff who work there) have not been told anything, but that some men have been measuring up for what he thinks will be a lift. He did not know anything for definite, or have any time scales.

Fingers crossed!
If you go on the bridge to the sides of each side, there is space for two lifts, one on either side to connect both platforms.

The funding apparently is there for work to commence in 2013.
Well done loveHOP on finding one of station staff not talking on their mobile. Must have been a rare sighting.
Working at a quiet station like HOP has got to be a test of endurance and patience for anyone...standing there all day with barely anything to do... im thankful they are there.

Good news about the lift
Excellent, at last!
WOOP WOOP!!
good news. those stairs are a pain with a buggy.
Long overdue, and fingers crossed!
Great news! badly needed for HOP station.
Latest update on Network Rail website: on 31st October 2012 the date for Honor Oak lifts was updated to 2013/2014, implying later completion than was listed before.

Brockley is still listed as 2012/2013, suggesting it will be done first. Both New Cross stations are also now listed as 2013/2014.
Good news either way. I'm sure most people know but for anyone new to the area living in HOP, if you need a lift they have them at Forest Hill which may not be much further of a walk \ wheel for you dependent on where you live.
An indicative diagram of the station with the lifts can be seen on The Forest Hill Society website.
Thanks Michael, good to hear/see more about anything positive to do with Honor Oak Park. Would be interesting to know where the Forest Hill Society think a more suitable location for the lifts would be however?

In my opinion it's the best, most obvious, most practical and probably the only place they could be located.
Well first my apologies, we have removed the diagram until we have clearance to put it in the public domain. But before the article was withdrawn I did say 'This probably is not the ideal location for the lifts but is the best solution given the constraints of the site.'

I completely agree with you that it is 'the best, most obvious, most practical and probably the only place they could be located', but I still think it is less than ideal - having a lift coming down in a alcove behind a staircase, at the end of the platform, beyond where the train stops. I have no better suggestion for where a lift could be located.
Planning permission was granted yesterday according to the planning website: http://acolnet.lewisham.gov.uk/LEWIS-XSL...mkey=68819
It looks like planning permission is not actually required; the work is a General Permitted Development but the council 'raises no objection' to the proposal.

Michael, why can you not share the drawing yet? None were uploaded to the planning portal either which is unusual.
ok Michael, I see you point (re lift location), especially after seeing that councilors concerns (i've lost that thread), although like you say, I can't see there being another option and I do think those concerns are taking it to the extreme, especially when the area will be constantly monitored.
The diagram is back on the Forest Hill Society website:

Based on the documents available in the planning application at http://planning.lewisham.gov.uk/online-a...CAPR_68819
Anybody have any idea when we will get the lift?
