I personally - and perhaps controversially - would be in favour of a small co-op or sainsbury's local. It would bring more footfall to the parade, which would, in turn aid the other small local businesses. The co-op in forest hill road exists alongside a newsagent, post office, diy store and the turkish grocers further up the road. Not to mention the small shops that exist happily alongside the co-op in crofton park.
I get fed up with walking to that co-op or the one in crofton park when I run out of something too!
Keep us posted, Tersie!
