I have just received a letter from Geoff Whitington (Lewisham Planning Department) confirming that everything is going to go ahead.

Long drawn out process but agreement finally signed with Sainsbury and works will be starting imminently. Hopefully have a new store in the summer.

good stuff. be great to get rid of those empty shops and be able to pick up quickly some basics in the evening and weekends. going to be good for the other local shops too I am sure. lots of extra footfall!
