Really sorry to hear about this Mitchy999. Having been through an attempted mugging in HOP last year, it affects you more than you would expect.

A year on and I'm still not that comfortable walking back from the station at night; crossing the street when I see anyone, phone on silent, no headphones.. etc. I guess you just have to think it is unlikely to happen to you again.

The walk home is getting a lot busier with new people moving in, the trains are always packed which makes you feel safer.

I do agree with someone else in this thread that the streets are poorly lit with lights spaced far apart.
