Sunday June 7th ? 1pm-6pm.
Join the, Forest Hill Society for picnic in Horniman Gardens. We should be easy to spot at the top of the hill so do bring your picnic hamper and join us on what is absolutely bound to be a gloriously sunny day.

As well as the picnic there will be lots of other things to do in the park as it is Forest Hill Fun Day with stalls, punch and judy, and other activities.

Well done, creative way of ensuring a FHS presence this year!

According to some weather site it may not be such a gloriously sunny day. However, I have arranged with the BBC that the rain will fall on Saturday to ensure no rain on Sunday.

The ground may be a little damp, so bring a rug, plastic bag, or folding chair for seating.

The Forest Hill Society picnic will be located at the top of the park, close to the Horniman Drive entrance - http://www.192.com/maps/?lev=1&px=534866&py=173227.5

How quick we forget. Last year the whole of Forest Hill was without electricity following the fire at our local sub station. FHD was great, and probably the best attended ever, possibly because of that. Hopefully lots of those who came for the first time in 2008 will support the event again this year, irrespective of the weather.

I hear through the grapevine that the picnic is cancelled - not much point trying to have a picnic when the ground is quite so wet

however, I'll still be going up to the Horniman as I gather there may be other things to do there that might not require sitting on the wet grass (for me at least)

seems it was dry enough after all - so we had a brief picnic. Nice to see a few of you. Nice t-shirts Smile
