A mother has spoken of her terror as a man hurled a knife through a bus window in south east London.

Jacqueline Hillyar, 32, was travelling on the 185 service through Forest Hill, with one-year-old son Kenny, when she heard a “loud bang.”

Horrified passengers watched a man hurl a large knife at the vehicle as it stopped in London Road just after 10.30am on Wednesday.

The weapon smashed through the window close to where elderly travellers where sitting, according to Ms Hillyar.
