On more than on occasion I have been driving north on Cranston Road at the posted 20mph limit as I approach home and to my absolute amazement have been overtaken by people who have clearly such important lives that driving at less than breakneck speeds won't get them to their important appointments on time.

As I have looked as these miscreants as they drive past I see so much anger on their faces as if I've asked for their firstborn rather than just been driving at the stated speed limits.

Given the terrible driving habits of some of our fellow motorists I'm surprised that there aren't more accidents.

One of the problems specific to Cranston Road is that whilst it is not a B road it joins into a cross roads with the South Circular and Brockley Rise, which are A and B roads, and provides a direct route down to Bell Green shopping. In the five years that I've lived here I believe (although only anecdotal opinion) that there has been an increase in traffic, including heavier good vehicles along this road.
