So our water came back on shortly after midnight on Saturday night/Sunday morning.
Pressure seemed to drop first thing on Sunday morning, but since then I would say it's been great - actually better than it was before. Are other people having the same experience? For ref, we're off Garthorne Road...
I was away on Saturday night/Sunday morning but after some spluttering of the taps yesterday evening, it did appear to be particularly fierce in the shower this morning. I was trying to decide whether it was the effect of fixing the mains or whether it was just that it was the school holidays so there were fewer kids awake.

i drove up that road last night at 2am and there is a burst water main pouring water over the road.
it was starting to frezze and making alot of black ice, so please take extra care when you drive.
The white bubbly water is back....at least in my taps in Devonshire Road........................
They have pink champagne flowing out of the tap on the other side of the railway!
Think there are a lot of issues with water pressure at the moment - they're certainly digging up various spots.
I had the plumber round the other week after having one too many 'hokey cokey' showers and he insists that there's nothing wrong with my boiler just that the water isn't always flowing at the right pressure to trigger it. Of course, while he was round, it all worked impeccably... grrrr
On Dartmouth Road our water has been off for a full day twice in the last three weeks. Which, coming so soon after the power cuts, was nice. I think the main keeps bursting down by William Hill.
On Taymount Rise they regularly turn the water off overnight with no warning. You go to get ready for bed and there's no water. It's happened twice this year, and several times last year. It's always late at night so it's nothing to do with a burst water main, and I suppose they think they don't have to warn us under these circumstances. It's pretty annoying to come in at 11.30pm on a Saturday to find there's no water. Anybody else experience this? BTW when the water came back on it was like milk, but does seem to have settled down again.
I've lived in HOP for just over two years and in that time we have been left without water at least four times.
I've never experienced this level of water interruption anywhere I've ever lived.
Next time it happens I think the green ink is coming out for a letter to Thames Water.

I also live on Taymount and twice this year I have had letters warning of no water on Saturday nights a week in advance.

Just because we have the largest brick built underground reservoir in Europe in Honor Oak, doesn't mean you should expect to get water on tap!

I think the water being turned off overnight is connected to the burst water mains as there has nearly always been a leak on London Road in the day or so before it is off. I think they plan the repair works at night so as to cause less annoyance?
That said the last time it was off without warning my neighbour called Thames Water and they didn't seem to know anything about it!
They are quite helpful if you call them. Surprisingly.
It's worth looking at the service guarantees on the Thames Water website to see if you qualify for a credit for loss of supply.
I applied a couple of years ago after a main burst in HOP and they were surprisingly efficient.

Michael, it's interesting that you should be forewarned of overnight water cut offs when I have never had any such warning. I did have a couple of warnings last year of the water supply being interupted during the evening, but on both occasions the water wasn't cut off at the appointed time. The first time it was cut off a day or two later (with no warning), and the second time it didn't appear to be cut off at all. Hmphh!
Note through our doors on Dartmouth Rd yesterday saying water due off all day tomorrow (26th).
As of about 1pm there has been a problem in Forest Hill. Thames Water are aware of the problem and are sending a technician; apparently it has nothing at all to do with their mains replacement work (or lack of).
Stilll off in SE23 at 14.20pm, phoned up and said a technician "insert engineer" was on the way asap. At worst the call centre person called Simon in Swindon estimated 7.00pm this evening
Water gushing down Dartmouth Road right now just where Thames Water are replacing pipes....possibly the cause??? (although according to the call centre there are no works being carried out in the area at the moment!)
Anyone know which parts of Forest Hill are affected?
I've heard there is no water in at least the northern part of Canonbie Road. Water is OK in my bit of Netherby though.
Our water in honor oak is orange - didn't realise til I started to run the bath, can't be our pipes I guess? must to do with the weird water pressure?
