I always avoid replacement bus services, which seem to take hours even if you can get on them. I usually get an ordinary bus to East Dulwich or Denmark Hill, or even a P4 to Brixton.

I agree the owners need to know, both that their pets are distressed and that you are being driven mad by them. Sounds as if you have a good relationship with your neighbours so hopefully it will OK....
