hi
If anyone has lost their large brown pheasant, it has been in HOP since Wednesday and has now taken up residence in my bemused neighbour's garden.
It is looking a bit bedraggled but hopefully managing to find something to eat from the grass.

Well remembered, Michael. And what a spot!

I wonder if that is the same one spotted at the junction of Brockley road and the south circ. A couple of months ago?

Could also be the same one spotted off Forest Hill Road recently. Then again, there could be more than one - birds of a feather...

I'm sure I heard a parrot jabbering away by the school last week on Sunderland Rd. Not the normal screech of those parakeets, but distinctive.
Perhaps there is a bird enthusiast nearby.

There is, or was, an African Grey nesting in a property just off the London Road and Waldenshaw Road a few years back so quite possible.
