Unfortunately last Thursday 20th March my elderly neighbour on Bovill Road was tricked into parting with cash on the doorstep. A builder knocked saying he was working in Whatman Road and noticed she needed some work done. She agreed as he was very presentable and charming. He returned later that day to carry out the work but had his hand bandaged stating he was off to A & E but he still required the cash and would be back soon! Well he still has not returned! He drove a silver car which had been parked in Whatman Road. This has been reported to the police already but just wondering on her behalf if anyone else has fallen victim or heard along the grapevine pleas. Any info would be good. Thank you.
