Hello

I moved from Putney and have always played football in the park wherever i have lived in London, just meeting up with random people sometimes and getting a godd fun game going. I occasionally play on Saturdays in Clapham with friends, but does anyone play football round here regularly? Or is there a 5-a-side league?

Hi

I have been wanting to do this for a while as well. Thinking about starting up soemthing in the spring when the weather is nicer. I don't know where we'd play, though. Suggestions, anyone?

Thanks

Chris

I'd think Mayow Park would be best, no? Everywhere else is rather hilly

not a footballer myself (might spill my wine)

I don't play football myself, but I'm sure I saw signs about 5-a-side football on that ground down on Canadian Avenue that backs on to Catford Bridge by Wickes. I think it's run by Powerleague, it always looks really busy at the weekends and there's a clubhouse there too.

Try this

Hi Chris,

Thats cool. Are you thinking in the evening after work? or weekends? Maybe we can arrange something here. Forest Hill vs Honor Oak!

Cheers

Christian

Hi there!

My boyfriend plays Sunday league at the football pitches in Catford. I can check with him the league he plays in and how busy the pitches get. I'm sure he'd be up for a game of footie so count him in!!

My boyfriend says:

"the pitches at Catford are the new state of the art astro/8th(?) generation turf, a lovely surface that is a pleasure to play (and slide tackle on). They are advertising places in leagues at pretty much any time at the moment, after 7pm seems to be the basic thing in the week." - http://www.powerleague.co.uk/5-A-Side/ce...sp?CID=CAT

Grass pitches at Catford are starting to become available on Sundays again (afternoons are dead). There is also an 11-a-side grass pitch at Honor Oak (no floodlights)"

Hi Wesley,

No age restrictions (just our skill is restricted).

There are 7 of us today so come along and make it 8!

James
