Does anyone have any recent update for Hamilton lodge? Seems like it was a big rush last year and the clock was ticking on a 5 year lease - but there are no changes evident, from the outside at least...

Update

The Council is in the process of appointing a contractor to convert Hamilton Lodge to temporary accommodation for homeless households and the appointed contractor should be able to start on site in March 2016. The conversion of Hamilton Lodge should be completed by September of this year. Works to 118 Canonbie rd will not take place in the same timeframes as works to Hamilton Lodge, due to structural survey findings and further details will be available in due course.

Thanks for the information Paul

If the plan is to accommodate for just 5 years then at least a quarter of that will have gone by the time the doors actually open.

Just a quick update on this

Lewisham Council have now appointed the contractor Atlantic Housing Ltd to convert Hamilton Lodge into hostel accommodation for homeless households.

Atlantic Housing Ltd took possession of the site this and will now be responsible for managing the site during the conversion works. They will be issuing the attached newsletter to neighbouring properties to advise them that they will now see activity on the site.

HAMILTON LODGE RESIDENTS NEWSLETTER

Works to Hamilton Lodge will be commencing over the course of the next few days. These works will include the setting up of our internal site site/security offices, welfare facilities, site clearance works, hoarding of the car park area and various investigation reports.

As the property is within a residential area, we will ensure all operatives’ vehicles are parked within the grounds of the property to avoid obstruction and that all deliveries/collections take place outside of school run times and within the designated site area.

The works programme, which are due to be completed by mid-September 2016, will be undertaken by our team of operatives. Should you have any queries or concerns, please either email them to info@atlantic-housing.com or contact Tas Alexandrou on 020 8501 7777.

We will keep you updated on throughout the course of the works

ATLANTIC
