Did anyone see Location Location this week? A young fireman was looking for a flat in South-West London for ?180,000 but Kirsty could only find a bedsit for that price. She persuaded him to look at Forest Hill, describing it as 'extremely up and coming', mentioned gastro pub, future new tube line etc. He eventually bought a very nice 3 bed ex-local authority flat off Dartmouth Road for the same money.

I caught the last part. His flat was actually on Perry Vale, part of the Valentine Court estate.

You can view it online for a week after broadcast, on Channel 4's website.

... but only if you access it with IE 6 or 7 and Windows Media Player 11 or greater, or with Firefox 2 after downloading a plug-in.

it will undoubtedly be repeated ad nauseum on More 4 so never fear, you'll see it eventually!

They have a program on after the main programme on More4 or E4, can't remember which. Part of it was looking at South London as a whole, and the area that they chose as the best place to buy, biggest potential in the future was Forest Hill. Most of the filming seemed to take part on Havelock Walk!!
Sure its also available on the Channel 4 website!

Sorry - I thought it looked like the council estate on Thorpewood Road behind the Library.

We were selling out flat through Robert Stanford at the time of filming, and they commented how Kirstie had sucessfully chomped her way through the half sweets.
Nice that they got a bit of free publicity out if it.

SHAME on them!
(Not for leaving, so much as the reasons given - unless of course they've been misrepresented on C4's website. Will have to watch and find out...)

lol are you serious? London Road is tranquil, and a leafy suburb... I think we have different definitions of both the above

Sorry my humour but seriously there are still some very nice areas in Se 23 which can be very leafy in the Autumn.
Did not watch the programme . Think it was one of those many recorded when people thought property only went up. To suggest the alternative then was a non starter.
We need to concentrate on protecting the nice areas we still have.

I was ambling home on Monday evening from the station about 5.45 and there I spied, on Shipman Road, Kirstie and Phil (my his tops are tight...has he been[/u] to Energie Fitness?) along with the 'house searcher'.
I surrepticiously crossed the road to avoid the cameras, I mean, I wouldn't want to bring the house prices down if they were selling here and looking to move elsewhere.
So look out for FH on an episode at some point, maybe soon
