And for anyone viewing this on a small screen, it's at Anerley Town Hall, Anerley Road, between 11.00 to 17.00, with a short presentation followed by a question and answer session with the project team at 11.30, 13.00 and 15.30
13.30 and 15.30.

I have to admit that I'm rather excited by all this but I do think a trick is being missed in terms of housing - even if there is no housing on the develpment itself the council shoudl think about a s.106 obligation to contribute toward the cost of new housing in the area? One would like to think this is already in their minds.
And as for a hotel - I do hope it's one that friends and family can actually afford to stay in rather than some ridiculously high end place.

I assume AMFM means social housing - and I wouldn't disagree if so. But it will push up local house prices significantly, so creating that much more incentive for private investment in additional housing. Wouldn't that be nice?

Just reread this, and I realise that 'it', where it is, might seem to refer to social housing. I meant, of course, the proposed development.
Admin - why is there just this 30 minute window for editing? The STF way seems better to me, of allowing edits, but letting readers know they have been altered, and given the posters a chance to explain why.
Also - rather more comment over on STF, e.g. this about how modern IT is transforming how consultations may be done.

Hope they'll manage a sphinx like smile. Any special smiley for that?
(Sorry, wrong log in. Not deliberate sock puppetry

Here's a link to the 'Inspired by the Subway' page with their filming of the presentation as given at the drop in session.
Admin, or anyone - how do I get this vimeo in a post here?

Apparently the shortilst of architects has been announced:
David Chipperfield Architects
Grimshaw
Haworth Tompkins Architects
Marks Barfield Architects
Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners
Zaha Hadid Architects with Anish Kapoor
Looking at some of their projects this includes the people who designed the Eden Project, the Cheese Grater, the London Olympic Pool, and the New Cross Gate Overground Offices (as well as many other iconic buildings across the world).
It is hard not to be impressed with the shortlist of architects and I hope that they come up with some great ideas about the building and what should go in it.
