Hello,
Today when I came back from FH station about 4.30, I heard loud gagsta rap music near bookie next to WH Smiths.Thare are about 10 young people were singing and dancing there.
It was not presant music in anyway for me. And It was way too loud.
I wonder if people are ok with that?

It was a group of lovely young people promoting their free talent show at their church which takes place tonight. I did not mind them at all, they were polite and wanted to invite members of the community to see them.

Dunno about gangsta rap. When I walked by he was singing, "Heads, shoulders, knees and toes"; I'm not convinced that's one of 50 Cent's hits.

Hahaha!
It SO wasn't Gangsta rap-It was a brunch of Christian kids promoting an event as previously mentioned.
I note the poster of this thread has only made the one post, perhaps they are taking the ****?

To be fair the original poster never mentioned gangsta rap, just gagsta rap which may be what young people call singing about Head, shoulders, knees and toes now days Unsure

I think - and I'm not as down with the kids as I'd like -this is what's called "Anatomy Rap".

"Gagsta Rap": think "Stutter Rap" by Morris Minor and the Majors. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t8a9Jx8WVJA

There's one for the teenagers. Smile

It was the same teenagers that were doing the same in Sydenham last week; not my type of music usually but I quite enjoyed it for ten minutes or so (not sure how I would have felt after a couple of hours). Good luck to them as they are doing something positive.

The Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes song is probably this one.

Worth another mention of the Tree Lighting and Carol singing on 7th December from 3:30pm outside WH Smith.

Isn't "gangster" spelt with an "er"?
