I'm wondering if any other Forest Hillers have noticed a change in the daily commute and interchange at Canada Water? Whilst my daily commute to Canary Wharf can often feel like a drab, Orwellian experience, recently it has been brightened by one of the station platform attendants at Canada Water. This virtuous character seems to have picked up a new quest - to prevent the congestion on the downward escalator at the interchange into the Jubilee. Obviously as a platform attendant, he has a loudspeaker microphone, and he regularly pleads with the "rats" that there is no need to use the escalator, your escape to the sanctity of the Jubillee Line can be approached by other means. I just enjoy the passion and dedication of this brave warrior, notably when he actually joins the queue and begs the throng of automons to not comply. Hats off to this gentleman, a genuine if futile attempt to disturb the programming of the crowd

Not seem this but sounds very funny.
I recently have recently had further email communication with the station management
regarding why they don't let passengers use the escape staircase as well as the escalators and received a weak answer arguing private vs public areas of the station. I have tried to move it up a level but have received no reply to date. I recall when the overground first opened you could use that staircase and avoid the crush but they seem to have conveniently forgotten this.

Why not ask for both escalators to go down?
There are other ways to approach the platform.
