Hello
I'm in the process of buying an ex local authority flat on Wood Vale opposite Old Camberwell Cemetery (it's in one of the three smaller low rise blocks).

I'd appreciate hearing what you think of the area, the pros and the cons.

Many thanks for your help.

ARL

I don't live there but travel through it often. There are some seriously expensive places on Wood Vale so it does tend to attract richer families rather than a young crowd. Seems quiet, not too far from Honor Oak station with easy access to East Dulwich and Forest Hill for shops and bars etc.
There is a great butchers on the corner of Langton Rise.

Hi - I lived in one of those flats for about 3 years and I loved living there. Nice neighbours and quiet area.

Hello ARL,

I've been riding past there for the last 17 years.

In all the times that I've whizzed past on the bicycle I can report not a single "con". No gunshots. That happens more when I get to Peckham and Camberwell.

As a "pro", it is in one of the most pleasing bits around here. The walks that you'll have access to on your doorstep, ARL, are just amazing.

Good luck with the purchase.
