Description
Lewisham Police are appealing for information following a robbery at Honor Oak Road, SE23.

On Friday 13 September at approximately 11:00 hours a 30 year old woman was walking along Honor Oak Road when she was approached by a suspect at the junction of Dunoon Road.

There she was attacked by a man who covered her mouth to stop her from screaming, taking the gold chain she was wearing from her neck.

The suspect, described as a light skinned black man, is believed to be 20 years old, 6ft 1 in height and was seen wearing a green/blue jacket and jeans.

DC Kirsty Evans, Serious Acquisitive Crime Unit: “This was quite a violent attack where the victim was approached by the suspect from behind and we want to catch him before he has the opportunity to do this again to anyone else.”

Anyone who may have witnessed or has information about this is asked to call Lewisham's Serious Acquisitive Crime Unit on 0208 284 8477 or alternatively call Crime Stoppers on 0800 555 111 to remain anonymous.
