Exactly the point I was trying to make above, lacb. Sometimes things that seemed connected are really just co-incidence, nothing more. No one has explained to me how a food market on a Saturday morning adversely affects trade on D Road.

Nonetheless, if this has prompted local traders to think about ways to increase their profile and footfall, then that is a good thing. And the only sensible reaction to a downturn in their trade, whatever the cause.
