Forest Hill Day and Devonshire Road Nature Reserve Open Day - Sunday 8th June

It really was great weather and a great turn out for Forest Hill Day on Sunday. It was good to see so many stalls and so many people just enjoying the weather on a day when you could not watch TV, Internet, mow the lawn, cook, iron, shop, get a train London, and the roads were not particularly safe with no traffic lights.

Well done to the organisers and all the stalls that managed to set up with the absence of electricity.

I didn't make it down to Devonshire Road Nature Reserve but there are some photos at http://devonshireroad.blogspot.com/2008/...ekend.html Including proof that somebody was fiddling while Forest Hill Burnt.

http://www.foresthill.towntalk.co.uk/eve...-Hill-Day/

This event held in the gardens of the Horniman Museum, London Road, Forest Hill is a great day out for all the family with Punch & Judy, inflatables, craft activities, face painting and more. In addition there are craft stalls and live music from the Ian Petrie Band and Rough Justice. Food for the day will be supplied by the Sausage Man (winner of “Who Do You Love?” Business Award 2009), and a return to Forest Hill of Provender (1 day only).

This year will also feature static and flying displays by Countrywide Falconry, London’s premier hawking centre who will be displaying hawks, falcons and owls.

Organised by the Forest Hill Traders Association
