Does irritate me when estate agents cant quite get a grasp of what it is they are selling and letting...

6 Church Rise was comprehensively rebuilt from the ground up in 2012-2013, yet is being advertised as a renovation and conversion, retaining 'period features'

Ultra-modern two bedroom period conversion - ideal for the modern professional. The apartment is situated on the lower ground floor of an imposing Victorian conversion and benefits from its own private entrance. Refurbished to an extremely high standard and briefly comprising of; two double bedrooms - one large double and a second smaller double or study, modern fully fitted open plan kitchen & living area and luxurious three piece bathroom suite. Despite the refurbishment many of the original period features still remain.

Refurbished ? Newly built
Original features, show me ONE in the pictures?

Perhaps they reused some of the bricks. Each one would be an original period feature... :-)

You know what, I never thought of that. Although that said, it all looks like newer brick that the original building was built with.
But I take your point for sure.

Such a shame that they have to twist stories like that. I saw someone viewing the other day, and they asked the agent 'so how old is this building'..... The agent gave him a funny look and said 'errm its a new build'

All the above said, the developer did a fantastic job with the build, and I think the end result is very fitting. Nice to have neighbours again Smile Just hope no one buys actually believing its actually a conversion. Could cause confusion for insurance purposes too. Not 110 years old, but 1 year old.
