Hi all, I'm looking for inspiration/advice for a forthcoming party I want to organise.

Looking to do an evening 40th birthday party event. In or around se23/26 area for my long suffering wife.

Venue would need to cater for around 60 guests, be able to provide drinks and staff.

Catering would be brought in.

Mid-October time ideally a Friday or Saturday night 6/7pm - 12/1am

Any advice greatly appreciatted

Best

Hamilly

Hi, friends of mine recently hired the gallery to the rear of Canvas and Cream for a 40th. It was very good - champagne was bought in but the staff assisted with serving etc.

Try the new clubhouse at Honor Oak Sportsground, don't know if they let you bring your own food in or not, but big function room and bar.

The conservatory at the Horniman Museum - Suzanne James catering. Eltham Palace is a fantastic venue but pricey.

Definitely NOT Stone Bar - unless you want substances other than food and alcohol at your party.

Seems to be fairly common knowledge locally. And walking passed late-ish on a Friday/Saturday would seem to confirm.

I regularly walk past Stonebridge late on a Friday/Saturday night, and the place seems very friendly.

Definitely Stone Bar! Been in there most weekends since moving to HOP 2 years ago and have never seen anything stronger than alcohol being consumed. The food is great as are the cocktails
