By the way before anyone replies to this my last post was an attempt at a joke to make light of this post.

Wow. 3 years later on and Sugar Mountain still only manages 3 out of 5. Is there any hope for the place?

Chippy, I would have to say that 3 years later and still trading would answer your question sufficiently, does it not?
Not shut down, still thriving and fast becoming a local social hub. Seems to me it has plenty of hope.

I must confess though, it seems very strange to join a forum, just to dig up a 3 year old post from heavens knows how many pages back, just to attempt to smear the name of a successful local trader.

Personal issues with the owner maybe?

It seems very strange to endorse someone for falling short in hygiene standards.

Personal friend of the owner maybe?

'Generally satisfactory' seems 'generally satisfactory'. There are other shops in Forest Hill with lower ratings where 'improvement needed'. It is odd to criticise a business that has improved from 2 to 3 based on a rating from 2014.

Congratulations to Sugar Mountain for obtaining a 5 out of 5 in today's inspection.

For the sake of transparency, I think it would be fair to declare that Pauline and I are friends, since we have worked together on a number of community project, including running the library.

And seeing how this thread all started with the Butchery on 1 star, it is good to see they now have 4 star - which is good. And the Teapot have risen from 3 to 5 stars, which is very good.
