Interesting story in today's news about Navigator Flight Sergeant David Millard Perkins from Honor Oak, one of four crew of a Boston bomber which was shot down in Italy in April 1945.

The bodies of the young crew members – Flight Sergeant David Millard Perkins, navigator; Flight Sergeant Alexander Thomas Bostock, radio operator; and the pilot, Flight Sergeant David Kennedy Raikes – were buried with full military honours at the Padua War Cemetery in northern Italy. They were all 20 years old when they were killed.
