Interesting story in today's news about Navigator Flight Sergeant David Millard Perkins from Honor Oak, one of four crew of a Boston bomber which was shot down in Italy in April 1945.

The bodies of the young crew members Flight Sergeant David Millard Perkins, navigator; Flight Sergeant Alexander Thomas Bostock, radio operator; and the pilot, Flight Sergeant David Kennedy Raikes were buried with full military honours at the Padua War Cemetery in northern Italy. They were all 20 years old when they were killed.
