One suggestion I recently heard was improving the frequency or height of the P4 as it is apparently very popular and not always possible to get on. I've no experience myself, but hope that users will make their views clear.

Are you supposed to fill in one for every route you use ? Seems odd that it's all very route specific.

From TFL:

I am writing to let you know that from Monday 1 July for about three months, bus routes 122, 284 and P4 will be diverted as a result of roadworks in Ladywell Road being undertaken by Lewisham Council (essentially going up Stanstead Rd to Catford - like 185/171)

Route 522, a free shuttle service, will loop one way from Brockley Rise via Stondon Park, Brockley Road, Adelaide Avenue, Ladywell Road and Brockley Grove providing connections with routes 122 and P4 at Brockley Rise and route 284 in Adelaide

Anyone know what's going on with the 122? Last night the Countdown board heading towards Crystal Palace at the Waldram Park Road stop showed no 122s at all. Then the same thing this afternoon. Then when I came back this evening there was one coming but not for another 26 minutes.
I know it's disrupted but I thought it was running as usual this side of HOP.

There seem to be problems with the countdown boards for both the 122 and the 176. So far as I know, they are both still running, albeit unannounced.

I got on to a 122 the other day in Dartmouth Road hoping to go to Catford (because I thought it had been diverted to go along the South Circular to Catford and then up Rushey Green to Lewisham, like the 185) but in fact it turned left into Brockley Rise. Does anyone know what's in fact happening?

Ladywell Road is closed. Buses are being diverted along Stanstead Road through Catford.

So why did the 122 I was on turn left into Brockley Rise rather than carrying on along Stanstead Road?

No idea.

Perhaps Ladywell Road is one way at present.

I have seen 122s coming from Catford up Stanstead Road.

I'm not sure why but the P4 and the 122 are both being diverted via Stansted Road for the next two months. I did ask the bus driver on the P4 and he just said there was a diversion.

Robin, I got on the bus from Catford, it said Forest Hill on the front so I was also a bit confiused when it turned up Brockley Rise where I got off. I think it must do a loop/Uturn and come back down Brockley Rise and then carry on to Crystal Palace.

I asked a 122 driver. He said I have to turn up Brockley Rise and return.

They must turn round somewhere along the normal route.

There is a temporary bus, the 522 which runs a circular route to and from Brockley Rise, which runs as the 122 to the bottom of Adelaide Avenue, then goes back up Brockley Grove to serve P4 passengers up to Stondon Park.

Timetable here.
