Has anyone else noticed the random placemment of the new black lamp posts that are being put up? There seems to be no uniformity to them at all, whether it be which side of the road they sit or distances apart. A couple near me are about 15m apart and then the next one is 100m down the road, and then 3 really close to each other on the other side of the road. It seems bizarre, does anyone know of an explanation behind it?

Not really, they seem reasonably well aligned on Grierson road and the roads off it.

They will make parking much easier on our road.

On my road they've done five on one side then five on the other repeated. Are they doing a similar thing here, just haven't finished it?

Many of the new installations have a similar pattern. I thought it was odd until I checked the OLD lampposts on my road and saw they were done in a similar way. Just never noticed it before.

I think it was to do with bends. I think they put them on the outside of a bend.

Bends? Then how do you explain the alternate placement on Sunderland Road?
