where did you hear that keva? I had read on this previously that they had eyes on a site somewhere in HOP but the only one big enough would be brockley supermarket I guess. Have there been any official planning applications put through that we know of?

The lady who has just opened the beauticians mentioned it when I was chatting to her on Saturday. So it sounds like this is something that has potentially been on the cards for quite some time but we are unsure as to how likely it is or how advanced the plans are. Is that a fair summary?

I heard that Tesco were coming not to Honor Oak but to Kirkdale (Forest Hill end) under the new red painted flats on corner of Kirkdale and Willow Way .....

You walk very quickly (especially under a load of shopping)!

It depends whether it is a proper Tesco, or just a "quickie" Tesco. As you say, there is a small one in the petrol station by the traffic lights near the Horniman and also one on Perry Hill, with bigger stores in Catford and Lewisham. But you could also argue that there's a small Sainsbury's in the petrol station near the fire station on Stanstead Road, only a few minutes from either the FH or Bell Green stores.

Is there really a Sainsbury's in Stanstead Road? Every time I try to get in they refuse to open the door!
