Does anybody know how to enable private messages on this forum?
I have used them a number of times over the years, but must have switched them off by mistake. How do I get back into these messages and send new messages?

I can't find an option in the User Control Panel. So I guess the best thing to do is email the admin.

Greetings Michael,

This has happened twice this year. When I clicked on the Private Messages link this message appeared:

You currently have private messages disabled in your profile.
To be able to use the private messaging system this setting must be enabled.

I have tried to resolve it myself by searching far-and-wide and high-and-low around the User CP page. I have clicked on everything. Read every page twice that I thought was relevant.

Both times our Admin fixed it for me.

I simply sent an email to:

admin@se23.com

And, as if by magic, my PM appeared.

I hope that this helps.

Thanks Admin. I seem to have it back now, without even sending an email.

It happened to me, too, about a month ago. Admin sorted it out for me.

Admin must be keeping their eyes on the board Smile
