I know it has been mentioned in another thread but actually it does worry me. I am cat lover and and every week I feel really sorry for the owners adding new missing cat posters near the HOP station. I know some people do not like cats and I am worrying that someone may be doing something untoward.

It might be an idea for someone to keep a record of how when and why cats have gone missing, if it seems there is a pattern however, spring and autumn are the main mating seasons so I bet those missing will mainly be young tom cats. Some may turn up again in a few days. I also love cats and have lost several in strange circumstances . Unfortunately they are inquisitive creatures who live life by their own rules and timetables and not ours.

If anyone has lost a cat in the area it is worth checking in with Battersea Dogs & Cats Home as strays are brought in regularly. The Lost Dogs and Cats Line is 0901 477 8477. Also, please make sure you microchip your cat. Any cat handed in to a vet or rescue centre or picked up by a warden is automatically scanned and if a microchip is found the owner is contacted straight away.

Also report to Lewisham Animal Welfare.
They need to know what is happening and they might have your cat in their kennels in Wearside depot.
