Hi, I had a break in yesterday and the burglars scared my house cat out of my flat. She's quite timid and unused to other people and the outdoors. I'll happily pay a reward if anyone finds her. I'm on Wynell Road.

What a horrible side effect of being burgled. Hope she comes back soon. I'll look out for her. At least she looks well-protected by her thick fur against the cold weather.

Thank you very much, yes it's awful, rather overshadowed the burglary in my mind actually. I think her running off scared them away as they didn't take much at all.

This very nightmare keeps me up at night. Keep looking, my wife never lost hope when one of her cats ran away and he was returned a week later.

Have you put any posters up on trees? Leaflets in local shops?

Cat found! After I spent the day traipsing round in the rain searching and putting flyers in letterboxes, she was found cowering under my downstairs neighbour's bed who also got broken into, she'd been there undetected for 24 hours. She's still frightened and jumpy but she's safe and in one peice. Thanks for your concern, so relieved.

Fantastic! Well done your cat for staying close to home.
We have so many stories on the Forum of lost cats returning home, sometimes after quite long absences; it is so encouraging.
