Yes do, if you do track down some proper kefalotyri then do please advise. I worked in Thassos for 3 years and I do wonder whether it is really possible to recreate a lot of the dishes I encountered.
I may be dreaming it but I think that the TFC stock gigantes (super sized tasty baked beans).

There are some Greek specialities including stuffed vine leaves available at the Teapot cafe or the "Mr Petros Yiannourkou Teapot" as it is officially known. I'm sure Peter would be happy to help or stock more if there was demand.

I was in The Butchery on Saturday and everyone in front of me in the queue was buying the Asian beef skewers, so when it was my turn I bought four as well. Holy smokes, but they were tasty. And tender.

I haven't bought meat from anywhere else since we moved back to the area. I'm not sure I could go back to buying from Sainsbury's. A real asset to the area.

The pork and kim chi sausages are amazingly good too. Haven't tried the Asian skewers...

Went to the pre-launch of Sodo last night, really nice pizza and a very friendly crowd, the owner reckoned they will open properly mid next week. Looks like a great addition to the local eating scene.

Saw this on the Brockley Central forum this afternoon.
Sodo, the sour-dough pizza joint that's taken over the Old Bank in Honor Oak Park, opens tonight, from around 5pm. Customers can turn up without a reservation, although they have no idea how many people will come through their doors on the first night, so booking might be advisable.
So, welcome to the new HOP restaurant and here's hoping that it is successful!

Have looked at the menu at their Cafe in East London and it seems they offer a small selection of starters and desserts, plus pizza. Wish they were offering pasta or grills or other Italian dishes, but I guess they want to specialize in pizza. Looks like Le Querce will continue to be our regular haunt as pizza not my thing, but wish it well. Great to see the site occupied at last.

Delicious pizza, great beer and buzzy atmosphere last night. They said that they will be ramping up the menu once they get settled in.

I'm sure most people will try out their pizzas soon, but if you need a bit of encouragement, why not join the Forest Hill Society's '23 Club' next Sunday for a chat about Honor Oak, Forest Hill, and delicious pizza.
Sunday, 23rd February, 1pm
Test out the latest restaurant in Honor Oak Park with the Forest Hill Society (booking required - email: michael@fhsoc.com)
Hopefully we will have another outing to the Honor Oak pub when it reopens in March.

why haven't they changed the outside signage yet, after all those weeks spent doing up the inside, seems weird to have left the outside?

I believe they are not finished yet - they opened early because of demand.

Tried out Sodo pizza tonight! It's a "soft" opening with just a limited menu so far, but really promising - the place looks great even though not quite finished, lovely pizza bases with very good quality ingredients, and very friendly staff who actually seem excited to be in Honor Oak Park! Indeed seems like a very good outcome for this spot, hopefully it will flourish and perhaps other high quality places will even follow.

Michael, if it's open, I'll buy you two!!!
Great that Sodo Pizza is open, and fantastic they chose Honor Oak. I drove past it last night and it's so nice to see that unit in full swing, windows so steamed up I couldn't really see what was going on inside, I think people we're eating pizza
Not sure if there was a private party in Donde or not but I've never seen it so busy and if this is as a consequence of Sodo opening (and Sainsbury's arrival) then it's fantastic, HOP looks as though it may be becoming a destination for a night out.

Went here at lunchtime today, really good pizza and lovely staff. Very nice to see the Old Bank busy and buzzy again. I think/hope it will do really well.
