There was a planning application in 2008 to add an extra floor and convert the top floors to residential. Permission was granted in July 2008 but it only lasts for 3 years so would have expired last year, unless they had already started work. Don't know about the ground floor, apart from new windows and changes to the entrance in relation to the upstairs development. In the 2008 application there was a letter from the gym's owner saying he was going to update the gym and fitness equipment, but that was dated 2006 so I don't know if that's still his intention.
