ShimmySister - unfortunately the karting track at Streatham was recently demolished for the Tesco redevelopment, which also took out the ice rink, but your friend's son might like to go ice skating at the new rink just beside Brixton station. I know it's not in this immediate area but a P4 bus will get him there in just 24 minutes.

Thanks for reminding me about that Anotherjohn. Might try to get the kids down before they go back to school! My 2 are more into roller skates. Got them from a great little shop just by the new Ice rink in Brixton. It sells ice skates too. Great staff that really know their stuff, reasonably priced and very friendly too!

Are you still looking for a plumber? If so I would highly recommend John Powers, would you like his number?

I spoke with my customer today, he has a space you can rent by the day for all your needs, but he is also trying to find out if there is a space you can rent full term. so pm me your details and I'll pass them on.

Spotted this bargain in Sainsbury's. Unfortunately I only wanted one packet, so was unable to take advantage of this generous offer...

I have just been to Hills & Parke Deli and had the first black pudding and sausage roll out of the oven. The best I have ever tasted. Highly recommended! Smile

Both our girls went to Faith Montessori and loved it. A very caring environment.

Need new windows but cannot choose between companies. We don't have any friends nearby who can give us a recommendation. We have settled on Rehau but quotes range in price by 6 thousand pounds.

Tried doing due diligence on companies but really difficult. Anybody have any recommendations or suggestions. We are just off Grierson Road and quite a few of the houses have newish windows, so there must be some good companies out there!

Dave

A friend of mine who's just had a traditional looking house built in Chartwell used Croydon Windows and they've done a really good job for sensible money - RARE! The front has a befitting country look with a creamy coloured grained finish upvc but there are 3 sets of quite modern bi-folding doors opening out onto the garden at the rear. I think that with most of these companies you're always better off dealing through someone you know so I'd be prepared to give you the introduction if you want. At this stage though I don't have a clue what you're looking for in terms of design and specification, but I'm sure these people would be more than happy to try to work it through with you. PM me if you want.
